Hi families!

Bookmarks/Nightly Reading: All students should have a bookmark now. This is used to track their reading rate for their good fit books. 4th grade homework is to read 20 minutes a night. Students should fill out their bookmark, bring it back to school and if an adult signs/initials it, they will get five yards each day! Once they finish a book, they fill out the main idea and theme of the book. Thank you for your help at home with instilling responsibility and a love for reading!

Student Led Conferences: Conferences will be coming up the second week of October. Here is a link to sign up. Please keep in mind that these are student led, meaning your student needs to attend the conference to present their goals! If none of those dates work for you, please let me know and we will find another day! Students will be working hard on their presentations over the next couple of weeks, creating goals and celebrating their glows of fourth grade so far!

Student Council: If your student signed up to run for student council, they can bring in two posters anytime this week. They should also prepare a short speech to present to our class. On Friday, students will give their speeches, and our class will vote.

Math: Last week, we started Unit 2 and completed lessons 1-5. This week, we will complete 6-10. Additional practice at home using the IXL Textbook and practicing multiplication fluency will be extremely beneficial.

Snack Donations: If anyone would like to and is able to send in extra snacks, that would be greatly appreciated! I try to keep extras in case students forget their snack. Thank you!

Here are the back to school night slides in case you were unable to attend.

If you have not yet filled out this getting to know you form, please do so when you have a chance. Thank you!
