9-7-24

Hi families!

NWEA: We will continue testing tomorrow, from 9:00-10:30, and possibly Tuesday (depending how far students get).  Students can bring gum or mints to help them focus. Please try to schedule appointments in the afternoon if possible. Thank you!

Math: Last week, we completed lessons 3-5. This week, we will complete lessons 6-7, and take our first unit test! This unit is on factors and multiples, so it will be extremely beneficial to practice multiplication fact fluency at home as well. One great way to do this is flashcards!

We will also begin our new reading program, EL Education, this week. This will be our first full week of academic learning, so students may feel extra tired this week. A good night sleep and healthy breakfast will be extremely beneficial. Also, please make sure students bring a snack and their water bottle every day. Thank you for your help at home!

Snack Donations: If anyone would like to and is able to send in extra snacks, that would be greatly appreciated! I try to keep extras in case students forget their snack. Thank you!

Please fill out this Getting to Know You form if you have not already.

Birthdays: We love to celebrate birthdays! For students who would like to celebrate birthdays in our class, due to allergies, please bring in non-food items, for example instead of cupcakes maybe pencils. Sometimes parents put together little gift bags. These are just ideas. There is no obligation to send anything! We can and will still celebrate as a class :)

Snacks: If possible, please try to avoid sending in yogurt, applesauce, or snacks that could spill.
