Hi families!

Fall Conferences will begin this week. Here is a link to the sign up if you need a reminder of your date/time. As these are student led, please make sure your student comes with you to the conference. They have been working hard on their presentations, and are excited to share their successes and goals!

Safety Patrol: If your student is interested in Safety Patrol, please fill out this form. There will be a kickoff meeting on Tuesday, October 8 from 3:55-4:15. The remainder of next week will consist of training. Post assignments will begin October 14. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Schmidt (aschmidt@sjschools.org) or Mrs. Fiesbeck (lfiesbeck@sjschools.org). Permission forms must be completed before posts will be assigned.

Laps for Lincoln: This is the last week to turn in donations for Laps for Lincoln. Collection days will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Please join us at the high school on Friday at 5:00 to celebrate all your efforts in raising money for our school, and celebrate the students for showing their bear behaviors!

Bookmarks/Nightly Reading: All students should have a bookmark now. This is used to track their reading rate for their good fit books. 4th grade homework is to read 20 minutes a night. Students should fill out their bookmark, bring it back to school and if an adult signs/initials it, they will get five yards each day! Once they finish a book, they fill out the main idea and theme of the book. Thank you for your help at home with instilling responsibility and a love for reading!

Math: Last week, we completed lessons 11-14. This week, we will complete 15-16, and hopefully complete our Unit 2 Assessment by the end of the week. Additional practice at home using the IXL Textbook and practicing multiplication fluency will be extremely beneficial.
