Hi Families! 

Bear Ticket Reward: As a reward for good class behavior, students voted on bringing a outdoor home day! We will do this on Monday, the 17th. Students can bring scooters, bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, etc. Please make sure to send in appropriate safety gear such as helmets and knee/shoulder pads! We want to avoid any injuries and make sure everyone is staying safe! Please let me know if you have any questions about this. 

Math: Last week, we completed Unit 6, lessons 10-12. This week, we will complete lessons 14-17, starting multi-digit division. Additional practice at home using IXL Textbook will be extremely beneficial for students who are struggling to understand the concept of multi digit multiplication and division. Your child can also front load and work on the upcoming lessons to feel more confident in class!Also, practicing multiplication fact fluency will help! 

Recess: Please remember to send your student in with appropriate recess gear for the weather, and a change of shoes if they plan to go into the grass. Thank you!

Smart Watches and Phones: Please note that students are not allowed to wear smart watches or have phones during the school day. They may leave them powered off in their backpacks. Thanks for your help keeping everyone safe!

Music: Please remind your student to bring their recorder in on Fridays for music. Thank you for your help!

  NWEA:  The kids did so great on their reading NWEA! I am so proud of them. We will be completing the Spring Math NWEA this week, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Students can bring gum or mints to help wake up their brains! Please try to avoid absences on these days and make sure kids get a good night sleep and eat a good breakfast.   The kids did so well on NWEA! I am very proud of them for all of their hard work.  End of Year Countdown:  We created an ABC Countdown with fun activities/dress up days to end the year.  Here is a link  to the activities! Tomorrow, students can bring an outdoor toy to use at recess. They can also choose to wear neon to make up for Friday :)  Math:  Last week, we completed lessons 13-16.   Lansing: Our Lansing trip will be on this Friday, May 2nd. Please click here to review the information. Chaperones will be receiving an email tomorrow with more information. If you are chaperoning, please send in the $8 museum fee if you have not already. All students and chaperones will meet in our classroom at 7:15, and we will leave at 7:30. Every student needs a snack, lunch, water bottle, and comfortable walking shoes!
