MSTEP Testing: There has been a change and MStep language arts testing will begin the Tuesday(April 8th) we return from break. Due to this change, we will be practicing on the online site next week. If you want your child to continue practicing at home or your child is absent next week, here is the link. Just follow the prompts for sample item sets for 4th grade language arts. There is a typed essay, so we will practice by planning and writing the essay on paper first, to keep things similar to what we have been doing in class. Then we will type the essay by transferring it from our written drafts. The math test will begin on Tuesday, April 22nd. Please avoid absences on these two days. Makeups will be the following Wednesday for each test. 


Math: Last week, we completed lessons 13-17. This week, we will complete lessons 18-20. Additional practice at home using IXL Textbook will be extremely beneficial for students who are struggling to understand the concept of multi digit multiplication and division. Your child can also front load and work on the upcoming lessons to feel more confident in class! Also, practicing multiplication fact fluency will help! 


Paperclip reward: We have reached the end of the board with our paperclips which means we have another reward! We will be watching Inside Out on Thursday. Here is the common sense media review if you would like to check it out.

  NWEA:  The kids did so great on their reading NWEA! I am so proud of them. We will be completing the Spring Math NWEA this week, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Students can bring gum or mints to help wake up their brains! Please try to avoid absences on these days and make sure kids get a good night sleep and eat a good breakfast.   The kids did so well on NWEA! I am very proud of them for all of their hard work.  End of Year Countdown:  We created an ABC Countdown with fun activities/dress up days to end the year.  Here is a link  to the activities! Tomorrow, students can bring an outdoor toy to use at recess. They can also choose to wear neon to make up for Friday :)  Math:  Last week, we completed lessons 13-16.   Lansing: Our Lansing trip will be on this Friday, May 2nd. Please click here to review the information. Chaperones will be receiving an email tomorrow with more information. If you are chaperoning, please send in the $8 museum fee if you have not already. All students and chaperones will meet in our classroom at 7:15, and we will leave at 7:30. Every student needs a snack, lunch, water bottle, and comfortable walking shoes!
