Hi families! I hope you all had a wonderful spring break.

MStep Testing: MStep language arts testing will begin on Tuesday, April 8, and the math test will start on Tuesday, April 22nd. Please avoid absences on these two days. Makeups will be the following Wednesday for each test. Students can also bring gum or mints to "wake up" their brains! In addition, if your child has a smartwatch, they will not be allowed to wear it. Devices are not allowed in the classroom during testing of any kind. If a student is wearing one, they will have to keep it in their backpack. This is a requirement from the Michigan Department of Education. Thank you for your understanding.

Math: Before break, we completed lessons 17-20. This week, we will complete lessons 21-24. Additional practice at home using IXL Textbook will be extremely beneficial for students who are struggling to understand the concept of multi digit multiplication and division. Your child can also front load and work on the upcoming lessons to feel more confident in class! Also, practicing multiplication fact fluency will help!

Snack Donations: If you are able to send in any extra packaged snacks, that would be greatly appreciated. It is nice to have a stash for when a student forgets. Thank you in advance!

Music: Please remind your student to bring in their recorder and book on Fridays for Music. Thank you for your help!

Recess Weather: Please make sure your student brings in an extra pair of shoes, especially if they plan to go into the grass at recess. Thank you for your help!
